Apprentice
A first contact by phone with HR. The goal is to briefly present the job and the company, check your profile's consistency (degrees, experiences, mobility...), confirm your interest and motivation, and verify availability and salary expectations. This first exchange allows the recruiter to do a first filter and informally assess your application. A few days later, you're invited to a video conference interview with someone from the HR department. The goal is to go deeper into your background (experiences, projects, skills), check alignment with the company culture, and assess your communication, professionalism, and motivation, while answering your questions. This interview formalizes the process more and may include role-playing or behavioral questions. After a delay (often needed to process other candidates or consider the shortlist), you get a video conference interview with the technical lead. The goal is to validate your technical skills directly related to the position, discuss missions, concrete projects, tools, and methods used, and assess your ability to integrate into the technical team. Sometimes, there are specialized exercises or questions (problem-solving, technical analysis).

HR Intern
I had an initial interview with a woman, and then she set up a final interview with a man. The whole interview was in French. Since I'm an English speaker, I have an English accent when I speak French. He told me the interview went well, but then he told his colleagues that the interview was conducted in English, which isn't true. I think that was his way of weeding me out. The woman from the first interview was very surprised and even called me to 'confirm if it was really me,' because her colleague told her I didn't speak French. She was shocked because I had spoken French with her in the first interview, and I was still speaking French with her on the phone. It was really not nice of the colleague.

Data Analyst
I applied for a Data Analyst position at CEVA Logistics. I got through three rounds of interviews, and the last round with people from Europe also went well. The interviews took a lot of my time, but after finishing them all, I didn't get any feedback or follow-up. I tried to follow up multiple times, but they just ghosted me. It's really unprofessional when a company makes candidates spend hours on interviews and then doesn't even bother to respond, whether it's good or bad news. This experience gave me a bad impression of their hiring process, and I wouldn't suggest wasting your time here. The interview process had 3 virtual interviews and after 10 days of interviewing, there was no feedback or communication.

Principal Engineer
I applied and then 5 months later, an out-of-state recruiter called me out of the blue. When I called her back, she asked me some generic questions about the job. She was really dismissive, wanting only yes/no answers and grumbling at me. She asked about my salary expectations, so I asked about benefits. She gave me a range that was lower than the advertised salary. She then lied about when interviews would start, saying 'a week or two weeks,' and told me to wait for an email. The job was taken down a week later, and CEVA ghosted me. My corporate login showed no record of my application, even though I had a confirmation email. Her tone was fake, like she knew me and was being mean, dismissive, cold, and sarcastic because she was lying. She seemed uninterested, like she was just going through the motions. It felt like this US-based recruiter was being sinister and using deceptive tactics towards an American candidate.
