The interview process involved a call with HR for basic background questions, followed by a presentation to the team lead about yourself and why you fit at Cegeka, and then a repeat of that presentation for the manager. There were 3 interviews in total, all conducted online, and the whole process spanned about a month and a half.

This interview process was a bit different than usual, with fewer questions about specific languages, frameworks, or general tech, and more focus on architectural-level thinking, even though the role wasn't explicitly an architect position. It involved questions like how I would build a certain type of application, covering system design. Unfortunately, I was ghosted after the interview. While I don't claim my interview was perfect, some form of response indicating I didn't pass would have been appreciated. I tried contacting the recruiters multiple times. They sometimes said things were on hold, and other times they just ignored me. It's now been over three months since the interview.

The interview was a generic talk with two developers, one from Romania and one from Moldova. I didn't do well because I had just returned from a trip and was sleep-deprived. What really bothered me wasn't failing, but the unprofessional attitude of the interviewers who started mocking me. This suggests to me that the company might have internal issues because while it's understandable to reject someone who doesn't meet standards, mocking them is unacceptable. If this is how they treat someone they talk to for less than an hour, I can only imagine how they'd treat a junior dev who they feel doesn't meet their 'expertise' standards.

The interview was quite disappointing. It involved two developers from the company. I felt stressed throughout the interview due to one interviewer's demeanor. The interview started late because one interviewer was delayed. Initially, the questions were fine, but as we progressed, it became increasingly difficult to focus due to frequent sarcastic remarks. Examples include: 'Common, this question is from the second year in Computer Science' or 'Let's say we have an AI, the algorithm that a poor stupid farmer wants to use. What is the algorithm's complexity'. Some questions were really confusing and hard to grasp. When I asked for clarification, there was no rephrasing or additional details provided. Perhaps it was intentional, but there were too many questions structured like that.
