Behavioral Technical Other

There were a few HR screening interviews, then two interviews covering functional consulting and technical skills. After that, I had to complete a four-hour assessment. Unfortunately, I received no further communication or feedback after submitting the assessment, which was pretty disappointing. It would be nice to get some closure, even if it's just an acknowledgement. I hope this isn't typical of Cartesian's culture, but they really need to step up their candidate communication.

I applied for the job on Linkedin and heard back from them two weeks later via email. They set up a 30-minute phone call with the recruiter. I felt the conversation went really well because I was engaged and asked questions. My resume also seemed to align well with the job description. The recruiter said they'd let me know by Monday, and I followed up on Friday and Monday without a response. After I followed up again on Tuesday, the recruiter let me know they were moving forward with other candidates. It was disappointing because I thought I was a strong candidate and the phone call probably didn't showcase my analytical skills enough for the role.

So the recruiter first contacted me to set up an initial call. Then, I had a virtual case interview as the second step. The final stage was in person and included four interviews: two consulting cases, one data case, and one behavioral interview. The whole thing took over a month because of the holidays in between. After the interviews, they took two weeks to let me know their decision and didn't give any feedback.

The interview process started with a screening round, followed by a virtual case interview. The final stage was an in-person super day that lasted about 4 hours. This super day included a 30-minute behavioral interview and a 30-minute mini-case interview, a fit interview, a presentation where I had to showcase a pre-prepared deliverable, and a case study. Everyone I met was really nice and friendly.
