I applied through university for the consulting internship. The first round was a 45-minute interview. The interviewer was really nice and only asked me a case. The case was about their current business and how to keep and grow their customer base. It involved some qualitative analysis and at the end, some calculations like percentages and simple multiplication and addition. I was then asked to give my final recommendation.

I applied online for another job and got contacted the next day with an initial case interview scheduled for the following week. That interview didn't go so well. While I was home for winter break, HR from Cartesian reached out about a different position, which was actually a better fit. I had 5 interview rounds for this current role. The first round covered my previous work experience. After returning to the US, the second round focused on the role and its requirements. The third, fourth, and fifth rounds were on the same day, like a power day. The third round was a mix of a case interview, technical discussion, and past experience. The fourth round also delved into my past experience with some behavioral questions. The fifth round was mostly behavioral and situational questions. I received a call within two weeks about an offer, and got my offer letter a few days later. It was an amazing and positive experience overall!

After my CV and cover letter were successful, I had a phone interview. I was asked to write 200 words on a TMT company and its success drivers beforehand. The interview was supposed to include competency questions and questions on my submission. However, the interviewer only asked one competency question and then spent half an hour asking about a technology I didn't know much about. My 200-word submission was never mentioned, despite the effort I put into it. The interviewer's questions were unclear, and they kept interrupting me to change the topic, making the interview very disjointed and preventing me from showcasing my skills. To top it off, I was never informed of my rejection, even though they said I'd hear back within a week.
