It was a great hiring and interview process from start to finish. Communication was clear and timely, and the team did a great job setting expectations around each stage. There were multiple interview rounds which gave me the chance to meet different managers and team members, which I really appreciated as it helped me get a good sense of the company and how the teams work together. Everyone I spoke with was friendly, easy to chat to, and genuinely open to answering questions about the role, the culture, and the challenges the team is working on. It felt like a two-way conversation rather than a one-sided interview, which made the whole process feel thoughtful and well run.

Behavioral Presentation

This was a 4-round interview process for a Senior B2B Growth Marketing Manager role. It started with a recruiter phone screen, followed by a deep dive with the hiring manager about my background and experiences. Then there was a skills assessment with a presentation and Q&A with a panel of three people, including the hiring manager. The final round was a fit and goals discussion with senior leadership. I made it to the final round and had an exceptional interview experience overall, with all interviewers being professional and personable. Unfortunately, I didn't get the offer because another candidate was chosen based on the skills assessment. Despite the outcome, it was a very positive interview experience, and thanks to the recruiter, it was one of the most valuable I've ever had. She did a great job ensuring a smooth process, communicating on time, and giving me useful feedback about my candidacy that I can use beyond this role. Even with the current market and high applicant volume, she paid high attention and care to my application and candidate experience. This is the kind of recruiting experience everyone should have, walking away with something valuable and positive, regardless of the outcome, even if it's rejection.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

The interview process took about 3 weeks and had 4 rounds. First, a 30-minute Recruiter Screen to discuss my background, interest, and salary. The recruiter was upfront about the whole process. Then, a 45-minute chat with the Director of Product (Hiring Manager), focusing on my resume, past wins, leadership, and strategic thinking. After that, a 2.5-hour 'virtual onsite' with three back-to-back 45-minute sessions. One was Product Strategy & Design with a Senior PM where we whiteboarded a product design problem for a specific audience. Another was Technical/Execution with an Engineering Lead, covering prioritization, technical debt, and teamwork. The last was Behavioral & Leadership with a Design Lead, asking about stakeholder management and handling conflict. Finally, a 60-minute Case Study Presentation. I got a take-home assignment (like a 90-day plan or market analysis) and had 3 days to prep a deck, which I then presented to the Hiring Manager and VP of Product, followed by a Q&A.

The interview process can vary, so it's best to look for recent info. It had several stages. It began with a recruiter call, then an AI proficiency interview. If you're not super familiar with tools like Co-Pilot or Cursor, practice making a basic project and adding tests. Be sure to check your code for AI-generated mistakes, as this interview checks if you can spot and fix them and if you truly understand your code. After that, there was a 'Programming Language Fluency' interview where I had to code a class they designed. It wasn't too hard, but make sure your dev environment is set up with the right language. I had some confusion about the language, but the recruiters were helpful. Then came a system design interview, which was pretty standard; I had to design a payment processing system. Reading 'System Design Interview: an insider's guide' really helped me prepare for this. Lastly, there was a standard behavioral interview. Doing the two technical interviews right before it in one sitting was quite tiring. I didn't pass this last part, but they called to give me constructive feedback, which was appreciated and helpful for future interviews. The recruiters were very helpful with any questions, so don't hesitate to ask them if anything is unclear. Despite not passing, the recruiters were so pleasant that I left smiling.
