Senior Digital Designer
The interview involved an HR call, a portfolio review where they focus on design details and your design thinking. They also met with a team member. The people were friendly, but they are professionals so be well prepared. They like creative work that is also supported by data.
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Design Lead
The first couple of stages seemed promising, suggesting I might be a good fit. However, the overall process and the brief for the interviews challenge kept shifting, making it feel like the requirements were constantly changing. It turned out that the role I was initially drawn to (product design) was not the actual need; they were looking for someone in lead generation/marketing, which essentially set me up for failure.
- I don't recall any specific questions as this was three years ago.
Designer
It was a smooth, open, and honest interview. Everyone was super friendly and they really seemed to focus on matching my skills to the position at the company. I was happy that the HR person was also really open to answering all the questions I had about the job and what it's like to work at Canva.
- What is your understanding of this role?
- What are your expectations coming into this role?
