initial contact with an external recruiter; then an interview with a Senior Director. Positive feedback was received. After that, there were several emails/calls from the same recruiter, just buying time. In the end, as often happens, everyone disappeared without giving real feedback despite the time spent answering their questions (a lot of them were repeated in every contact).

I interviewed for the Event Specialist role at Campari, and at first, it was great. The initial HR call went super well, so much so that they said I'd be contacted for a second interview with the Hiring Manager. But, after I nudged them 3 weeks later, I found out the Hiring Manager didn't even like my CV. This was super disappointing because I think they should be careful not to waste candidates' time, and especially avoid giving false hope with premature words and promises. A more consistent and transparent hiring process would be nice, especially for such a prestigious company.

Behavioral Technical

I had 3 interviews and didn't get an offer. The first two interviews were behavioral questions, and it was hard to know what they were looking for, but I think I showed I had the skills. The third interview was with a VP where they asked more abstract questions like about the department's role in the company. They also made comments about not needing heroes. Given my resume, I'm not sure if that was a factor in those comments. At times, it felt like the VP wanted to debate and was argumentative, looking for reasons not to hire me. I thought this was odd for a manager position, though maybe expected for a more senior role. The interviewer and someone I would work with closely seemed smug and had big egos. They weren't focused on my job skills but rather quizzed me on my views and then challenged them. I was happy not to get an offer.

  • Can you share about your experience and how you handle interpersonal skills?
  • What is your perspective on the role of this department within the company?
  • We don't need any heroes here.
