The interview process was super smooth. They asked relevant technical and competency questions for the role. The recruiter kept me in the loop about everything. A senior manager even took extra time to chat with me about the role and the team, which was really nice. Everyone was professional, knew their stuff, and was easy to talk to. The team's working on some really cool stuff with tons of learning opportunities.

The process was pretty straightforward: there was a portfolio review, then an assignment, followed by a discussion of that assignment or a whiteboard challenge. They said they'd make a final offer, but I'm not sure since they went silent after the assignment round. After about 20 days, I just got a rejection email saying the competition was tough. Honestly, I was hoping for some feedback on my submitted work. When I followed up, they said it would be shared once the team provided it. So, I'm just waiting, guess there's nothing else I can do.

Behavioral Technical Coding

The builder.ai interview process was great. Everyone was nice and kept me updated. It took about 3 weeks from start to finish. First, there was a quick phone chat about my background, what I want to work on, and what I'm looking for. Then, a video call with someone like an engineering manager to discuss my experience related to the role and more about the job. After that, a technical interview with questions on angular, typescript, and some coding problems similar to leetcode. Finally, an interview with someone to check cultural fit and ask some behavioral questions.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Tell me about your experience with Angular.
  • How do you see yourself contributing to the team's success and improving its productivity?
  • Can you solve some general algorithmic problems, like those found on LeetCode?

The interview process was super quick and easy, totally thanks to Parvine from Talent Acquisition who kept me in the loop the whole time! She knew I had another offer and really sped things up for me, always answering my questions super fast. She was also really nice and helpful, going the extra mile! She even gave me a heads-up on what topics to expect in each interview, which was a huge help for prep. The whole thing took just 10 days from the first chat to the offer, and I heard back the same day or the day after each interview. First, there was an initial call with someone from Talent Acquisition. Then, a technical interview with the team lead that included a quick live coding task with Pandas and some questions about my experience. After that, a technical deep dive with the team lead and another team member, focusing on how I use and understand specific technologies. Finally, a culture fit interview with a business manager, where they asked behavioural questions related to the company's HEARTT values. The interviewer mentioned it was with someone from a different team because the company is so cross-functional. Honestly, everyone was really friendly and the whole process was great. The Talent Acquisition team also made the pre-onboarding smooth and speedy. Based on this experience, I'm really excited to start at Builder.ai!

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you share some past experiences?
  • Describe your experience and understanding of how you use certain technologies.
  • Tell me about a time you demonstrated the company's values (HEARTT).
