It was a quick, informal chat on the sales floor. I had to wait a bit since it was busy. The manager was friendly. They asked about my past experience, my personal style, places I like to shop, and what I like about Buffalo.

I applied for the Office Assistant role via Indeed and was then invited for an in-person interview. I met with the manager who was very friendly. The rest of the staff seemed to be present during the interview. The manager emphasized the need for weekend availability and staying updated on trends, even though the job primarily involved back-of-house duties.

There were 3 interviews to go through. The first one was a screener, where they asked about my resume and some generic questions like where I like to shop and my past experience. For the second interview, I had to pull items from a specific category and discuss what items I would have bought and passed on, explaining why. This is basically a test to see if I'm keeping up with trends, and it sounds like a bigger deal than it is. If they ask you back for a third interview, you got it! The third interview is when they review the position and have you fill out paperwork if you bring the right documents, so it's where they offer you the position.

I got a quick 5 minute call first to check my availability and then was asked to come in for an in-person interview. At that interview, I did a buy test and did great, so they invited me back. My third interview involved a similar buy test and more detailed interview questions. I thought I did really well and the interviewer even complimented me. They said I'd hear back in a few days about an offer. Five days went by with no word, so I called to check in and remind them I was still interested. The person said they'd look into it and get back to me. But nothing ever came. I put a lot of prep into these THREE interviews and feel like their process was excessive, especially since they couldn't even bother to let me know I didn't get the job. Really disappointed with Buffalo Exchange.
