So, the interview involves handling scheduled builds that run nightly, then triggering security scans, running automated tests, cleaning up temporary environments, and rotating logs/artifacts. You'll need to know how to use tools like top and htop to identify resource-hogging processes. Also, using ps -ef to check processes is important. You'll need to check logs and thread dumps, and if there's an application issue, you'll have to restart or scale it. The goal is to add alerts and autoscaling to prevent these issues from happening again.

Technical Behavioral

Horrible interview process for two positions, Lead and SSE. Got selected in the Technical round for both. Rejected on the behavior round for both. I was honest and professional about my experiences and work style. Not sure what they were looking for, how can behavior be judged from theoretical questions. Disappointed, no feedback, just 'not FIT'.

Behavioral Technical

They look at your resume first to see if you have the basic qualifications. Then, a short call with HR or a recruiter to go over your background, when you can start, and if you're interested. If it's a role that needs it, you might have to do a test or project to show your skills. The first interview is with HR or a manager, asking about your experience and motivation. After that, you'll meet with the team or a panel to discuss how you work and fit in. Sometimes there's a final interview with someone higher up. Then you might get an offer or hear back.

Coding System Design

The overall process was decent, though there were a few bumps. One interview, slated as a Systems Design problem, turned into a coding interview because the interviewer wasn't prepared. After I finished the coding part, they realized it was the wrong interview type and then tried to squeeze in the Systems Design problem with only 20 minutes remaining. Given the limited time, it was tough to get everything done. Plus, the last 10 minutes were for my questions, effectively leaving only 10 minutes for the Systems Design task.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • A basic coding question focused on counting elements.
  • System design questions related to APIs.
