First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Blue Square Concepts.
Marketing Consultant
The first interview was a brief in-person meeting where we talked about why I'd be a good fit for the role or how I could add value. The second interview involved spending half a day shadowing, which gave me a real sense of the day-to-day tasks and what to expect. I really enjoyed connecting with a future colleague and the people we'd be working with. The final interview was a quick call with the CEO. We went over my resume again, and then they shared feedback on my shadowing experience. I was impressed by how fast they responded. Overall, it was a great experience!

Intern
I applied on a Wednesday and got an email the next morning to interview on Friday. The first interview was on Friday around noon and it was short, less than 10 minutes. I was told they'd get back to me by 6pm the same day. Around 5pm, I got a call saying I got a second interview on the following Monday. During that interview, they introduced me to the team, and I realized it was door-to-door sales/marketing for Comcast bundles. They mentioned you build a team and sell to get paid, which felt like a pyramid scheme. I wasn't comfortable doing marketing in neighborhoods, and felt it was a waste of time. Back at the office, I had to fill out forms and I said I wasn't interested.
- What are you hoping to find in a company?
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
- What makes you want to leave your current job and why are you interested in working with us?
Marketing Associate
I applied online and had an in-person interview. I read some reviews beforehand, and I was a little worried that the job description in the listing wasn't quite what the job actually was, and it turned out to be true pretty much immediately during the interview. They didn't explicitly state it, but most of the questions were about how I'd handle rejection from potential clients, making it obvious that it was actually a sales job.
- Do you feel you'd be a good fit for a marketing and sales role?
Marketing Consultant
The first part of the interview was an hour-long chat focusing on behavioral topics. They asked pretty standard stuff about why I was interested in consulting, but also wanted to know about different industries the company is involved in. The person interviewing me was pretty nice and helpful throughout the process.
- Can you share an instance where you let down team members?
- What is your motivation for pursuing a career in consulting?
- Could you list some of the industries that our company operates within?
