First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Betsson Group.
Devops Engineer
My interview with Betsson was really good! From the recruiters to the technical folks, everyone was prepped, nice, and pro. The whole interview process was clear and laid out well. I liked how each person talked about the job, what they expected, and the tech stuff involved. The talks were interesting and about real situations, so I got a feel for the company's vibe and how the teams operate. I felt respected and like my skills were judged fairly. All in all, it was a great time and made me like the company even more.
- Could you describe your approach to ensuring code quality and dependable deployments?
Frontend Developer
The interview process at Betsson was pretty good and felt professional. It kicked off with a video chat with a recruiter, who wanted to know about my background, skills, and why I wanted the job. After that, there was a technical interview where they asked me some questions, starting from the easy stuff and getting harder, and then I had to do a coding challenge. Then, I had a meeting with the engineering manager for a more serious chat about my tech skills and if I'd fit in with the team. The people interviewing were nice and professional and let me ask questions about the job and the company. The whole thing took about two weeks from applying to getting the final answer, and I had a good experience overall.

Frontend Lead
So I went through this whole 4-week thing for the Frontend Team Lead job at Betsson Group. It was pretty structured, with tech tests, a bunch of interviews with the team, and we talked about what they value as a company. The good parts were that the team seemed really good at what they do and the chats were interesting. They also talked about a culture of being open and working together, which sounded great. But, things weren't perfect. The recruiter was kinda hard to get a hold of, and I had to chase them for replies sometimes. Even though they said I did well, I never actually heard back with a final decision. After waiting for weeks, it just went quiet, which was a bummer, especially since they talked so much about being transparent. I put in a lot of time and would have liked some clear feedback, good or bad. My advice would be to actually be transparent, especially when hiring. Letting people know the outcome, whatever it is, respects their time and makes a better impression.
- Could you explain microfrontend architecture and give some examples?
- What strategies would you employ to improve frontend performance?
Human Resources Business Partner
I got an interview for this role and was really looking forward to it. I showed up prepared, but the interviewer didn't. I followed up by email, and then a few hours later, they got back to me to 'confirm' my interview for the next day, without even mentioning the missed one. The interview happened the next day, and the interviewer seemed really uninterested, like they were just going through the motions. At one point, I swear I saw them look off-camera and roll their eyes, probably at someone who walked in. I sent a thank you email afterward, but haven't heard anything back since. It was a weird experience and doesn't reflect well on Betsson.
- Can you share some of your key strengths and any weaknesses you have?
- What is your understanding of this position?
