It was a friendly chat. They asked some basic questions about my past experience and talked about the company, the types of projects they work on, and any travel or location requirements. Technical questions were mainly about my previous experience. They were mostly checking my attitude and whether I'd be a good fit for the company or if they'd need to train me.

Had a phone call with recruitment to check my status and if my application was compatible. Then verbally booked a first interview with the head of the department for the team. Interview was scheduled two weeks in advance, even though the hiring manager said 'next Monday'. During the team/video interview, there were 4 people on the call. They introduced themselves, but one of them had just started that morning and was on the call on their first day. After some completely unstructured questioning, with no meaningful logic, they hadn't offered up the job role I was supposed to be interviewing for during the original allocated half hour call. The call overran to more than an hour without any structure. I asked what the role was and was told it was for a Cyber Security Analyst, with responsibilities listed. Back with the HR team, they asked me to confirm by name who said it was an analyst role. It was a complete shambles. Even though my work experience involves highly sensitive or SC cleared work, they continuously pressed for information I'm not cleared to share. I had to remind them multiple times and refuse to answer, stating I can not release any information related to vulnerabilities affecting my previous clients.

I sent in my application online and got an interview call a couple days later. We set a date for the next week. When the time came, I got a text saying the interviewer was in a meeting and couldn't talk. She then sent me some questions via text and then via email. I never heard back about feedback after that, even after 3 follow-ups. I've stopped trying. Honestly, if this is how they start things, maybe it's a good thing I didn't get any further.

I had my first interview last Friday and was immediately invited to a second interview. An email with all the details was sent out. However, today, HR from Belcan emailed me saying my second interview was cancelled by the hiring manager because they are changing the job description and don't think I'm the best candidate. It's confusing how a company would invite someone for an interview and then cancel it because they want to change the job description. The job has been posted for almost a month and closes soon. I can still see the exact same job description online. I don't get it. If I wasn't a good fit, the hiring manager could have just said no initially. I think this is very unprofessional behavior from a company of this size.
