First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Barton Associates.
Recruiting Consultant
I applied through LinkedIn. A talent acquisition specialist then contacted me to discuss my career aspirations. Following that, I was invited to an on-site interview with the office director, which included a tour of the facilities.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Customer Service Representative
Had a phone screen with a recruiter first, then went in for an in person interview with someone else. The boss even popped in during the in person interview. It was super basic and definitely suited for someone just starting out.
- Can you share details about your past work experience?
Salesforce Developer
Got a call from the recruiter for a telephonic screening. Then, I had a technical round with their Salesforce architect, which also included a coding test. They asked a lot of scenario-based questions, really good ones, focusing on code quality and best practices. The interviewer was very friendly, polite, and courteous, and seemed very technical and experienced on the Salesforce platform and programming.
- What are your thoughts on scenario-based questions?
Account Manager
The first interview was in-person, which felt a bit strange given covid. I learned about the work hours being 7am to 5pm and that initial vacation time is about two weeks, increasing by one day annually. Although the interview went okay, they mentioned both the role I applied for and another position were paying $42k, which was non-negotiable, stating it's pretty set in stone because Barton is a big company. It seems like a big company should offer better pay due to economies of scale, but they just don't want to. We mutually decided not to proceed since I wasn't interested in accepting such a low offer.
