First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ZT Systems.
Manufacturing Engineer
The interview process was really smooth and the recruiter was super helpful. It started with a round with the hiring manager, followed by a panel interview with six people. The focus was on NPI, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement topics.
- Can you explain Cpk and Ppk values?
- Tell me about Jigs and fixture design.
- How is the Tier level meeting structure organized in manufacturing?
Thermal Engineer
I had an hour-long initial chat with the recruiter, who seemed really keen and set up a meeting with the hiring manager. After some back-and-forth over a week, I was ghosted. Then, two months later, the same recruiter called, apologized, and asked to set up the next part. I met the team, which was super disorganized – people were late, coming and going, and they didn't even have a room booked. The interview, supposed to be an hour, ended up dragging on for three hours. The hiring manager, that same Taiwanese guy, had absolutely no people skills. He even walked me to the washroom and asked me a question while I was using it. After all that, I was ghosted again for a month. When I finally contacted the recruiter, he just said they weren't interested. The whole work culture and team felt really toxic and chaotic. I wouldn't recommend it.
- Can you discuss heat transfer concepts and the relevant formulas?
- How does a thermocouple work, and what are its common uses?
Quality Engineer
The interview process involved two stages: an initial HR screening followed by a panel interview. The entire process spanned a week. Unfortunately, I haven't received any updates from HR since the interview, despite reaching out multiple times. The panel interview focuses on a candidate's experience, particularly with ISO 9001 and quality auditing, which seem to be key factors for hiring. The lack of communication post-interview has left me uncertain about my standing in the hiring process. It's important for companies to maintain good communication and avoid ghosting candidates.
- Could you describe your experience using Tableau?
- Have you been involved in ISO audits, either internally or with third parties?
Program Manager
Applied on LinkedIn, recruiter contacted me after a month. First, I had a brief recruiter interview, then a 30-minute call with the Hiring Manager that went well. After that, there was a series of interviews with various people in the organization, which also went well. I didn't get any updates from the recruiter about a final decision, and my follow-up emails weren't answered. I was not impressed with the recruiter's unprofessionalism. I wouldn't accept an offer if one were made; they need better HR.
- Why are you seeking a new opportunity?
