Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ZT Systems.
Product Engineer
I had two interviews. The first was with two managers, and the second was with two engineers. Both interviews covered the same types of questions, like how to handle a situation where a team can't agree on how to solve a problem.
- Can you share a time you had a disagreement with a partner and how you worked through it?
Engineer
You will never contact the recruiter via emails or phone calls successfully unless he wants to contact you. The recruiter never sends emails to schedule an interview or inform next round interview, but a quick phone call which is unprofessional and informal. He won't discuss your available time slots for an interview but throws the interview invitation directly to you never confirming with you. Also, the recruiter is like a ghost, never reply emails or responds to phone calls for following up interview feedback, so you will never receive an "official" reject letter. ZT Systems, you should better train your recruiters well for using email to contact candidates and respond to decisions whether it's accepting or rejecting.
- Tell me about yourself and other details about the job description.
Engineer
The interview process was really smooth. After I applied online, I had conversations with different people at the company, including HR and about 4 to 5 engineers from various teams. It was a simple and clear process overall.
- What are your thoughts on engineering fundamentals?
- Can you answer some general HR questions?
- Tell me about your experience.
