It was a simple and respectful interview process. I had a video call with the firm principals and the hiring team. During the call, I presented my portfolio, talked about my past work experience, and we went over the job responsibilities. The team got back to me with an offer pretty quickly.

I was connected with the hiring manager before a job listing was even out. We had a single meeting the day after my initial email in April. The interview went fine, and at the end they said they would get back to me in about a month (May). They never did, so I reached out again and was told they were pushing the hiring process back to later in the year. I emailed again in August and got an out-of-office reply until early 2026. Then I was told the position would be open in September. I applied and let them know, but never heard back. I get that hiring can be unpredictable, but the communication was really bad.

A recruiter reached out to me about this role. I had a phone interview, and then I was invited for an in-person interview. The people I met were nice, but I had to wait about 20-30 minutes for the interviewer because they were busy. The interviewer was looking for someone high-energy, though they didn't seem particularly energetic themselves, which I attributed to being busy and tired since it was the end of the day. What was really disappointing was the lack of follow-up. I never heard back about the job, and the recruiter also didn't respond. I feel like my time and money spent traveling were wasted. I'm kind of glad I didn't get the job, as this experience makes me wonder what it would be like to work there. Overall, it was just 'meh' – not great, not terrible, but disappointing.

Had a quick phone screen first, then a Zoom interview. After that, they had me come in for an in-person meeting at their Seattle downtown office. They also asked for at least 2 references. The whole thing took just under 4 weeks. They mentioned a salary range initially, but then when they offered me the job, they said they don't negotiate salary because of equity.
