First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zest AI.
Data Scientist
The interview process here is quite thorough, with about 9 interviews, which might be a lot. They're pretty clear about what they'll test, so you can definitely prep. I would have loved to work with Zest AI if things had worked out. The recruiter, Chris, was a great help, and I enjoyed chatting with everyone I met. I really value competence in a technical workplace, and everyone I spoke with was very competent. To be upfront, I didn't get an offer for the senior role, but they did offer me a mid-level position.

Client Success Manager
Seven rounds, including a 20 minute presentation in front of a large group of current employees. The recruiter was great, always letting me know where I stood and checking in before each round to see if I had questions or needed anything. He was highly emotionally intelligent, organized, and consistent. The process alone gives you a good sense of the company, and I can't wait to start.

Data Analyst
They have like 4 rounds. They move you to the next round very quickly and not very seriously, and then cut you off at some point with no reasons. It is a waste of time, and the interview is just an average level.

Product Marketing Manager
The whole thing took about 6 weeks from when I applied. I was really into the company and felt a connection to the product and vibe, but man, it was a lot. I went through six interviews, had to dig up writing samples from my portfolio, and did an at-home assignment. Then, the recruiter told me the hiring manager was still on the fence and wanted ANOTHER at-home assignment. They originally said the six interviews (recruiter, hiring manager, three others, and a final chat with the hiring manager) plus a panel presentation would be it. I just couldn't do it, honestly. It felt like they had trouble making decisions, which made me wonder about working there long-term. The recruiter was cool the whole time, but when I backed out of the extra assignment, he said they were going with someone else. Kinda wish I hadn't bothered.
