Data Scientist
The interview process here is quite thorough, with about 9 interviews, which might be a lot. They're pretty clear about what they'll test, so you can definitely prep. I would have loved to work with Zest AI if things had worked out. The recruiter, Chris, was a great help, and I enjoyed chatting with everyone I met. I really value competence in a technical workplace, and everyone I spoke with was very competent. To be upfront, I didn't get an offer for the senior role, but they did offer me a mid-level position.

Data Scientist
The interview process at Zest was really disappointing. After 9 interviews and a take-home assignment that took me ages, they kept delaying the final decision. I had to chase them for updates each time. In the end, after my last follow-up, they just told me they weren't moving forward. No feedback, no call, nothing. I asked for feedback but got ghosted. It's a shame because the company seemed great based on what the interviewers said.
- Could you discuss overfitting and data drift?
Data Scientist
So the interview process was pretty long. It started with a recruiter screening, then an interview with the head data scientist. After that, I had to do a coding challenge and a take-home project. Then there were 7 rounds of remote onsite interviews. It felt like they asked about the same project multiple times. They had super high expectations for what they said was an entry-level position. They asked really deep questions about machine learning and dug into the nitty-gritty details of my past projects. The recruiter was pretty helpful and responsive, but when I asked for feedback on why I didn't get the offer, they didn't provide any.
