First there was a screening, then online tests on math (lots of problems covering different areas) and programming (3 easy problems about data parsing and filling in gaps). After that, there were 3 technical interviews focusing on math, programming, and DS/finance. These usually started with a few simple warm-up questions followed by 2 harder problems to check how deep your knowledge goes. Then, I had interviews with the teams where we talked about my experience and scientific work, followed by questions specific to the team I was applying to, and I had to come up with hypotheses about the data. I got rejected.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Did you have knowledge of mathematical induction?
  • The team interview included questions from the Green Book.
  • The questions from other stages were unique but fairly straightforward

Had a telephone interview for a role in London. It was with someone from the quant team. We talked about statistical analysis techniques and programming skills. They were looking for developer-level coding skills, including Linux, SQL, and Python. They gave me a lot of background on the company.

The hiring process has two main parts: an online assessment and then three interviews with a researcher. The online assessment is a multiple choice test with 40 questions covering probability, math, and coding. After that, there are three separate interviews with a researcher, focusing heavily on probability questions similar to the green book.

CV was also a component, making up 40% of the assessment.

Confirmed questions5 questions
  • Were there any NLP related questions?
  • What about brain teaser questions, were they easy to medium, where you didn't have to work out the whole problem, and could talk about your logics?
  • Did you get any math questions?
