First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Windsor Fashions.
Sales Associate
I sat in the middle of the mall with 3 other girls. The supervisor asked standard interview questions and then asked us to tell her what we think is currently in fashion. Then we went into the store and she gave us each a scenario of a customer (like shopping for a cruise) and had us pick an afternoon and an evening outfit we would suggest to the fake customer and present them to her. It was a pretty quick interview overall.
- In your own words, what is customer service?
- What, in your opinion, is currently considered fashionable?
- Given a customer is shopping for a cruise, please select and present an afternoon and an evening outfit suggestion.
Stylist
The interview was really chill. The manager pulled me into the back room and started to ask me the questions. Near the end of the interview, the manager asked for my age. She said that she doesn't really wanna hire me because there are certain things I can't do as a minor like close up the store and certain stocking things. She also said she didn't want just a seasonal worker because a lot of her seasonal workers left. But overall, if you aren't a minor, it was really easy.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What makes you want to work at Windsor?
- Describe a situation where someone was dishonest and explain how you handled it.
Store Manager
I interviewed for the store position and was told that they were going to fill it internally, but they offered me an interview for the next position down. I interviewed for that position and was told it was filled, but the next position down was available. I expressed interest but never heard back. Aside from being disorganized, the 2 managers blamed each other for the delays and miscommunication, very unprofessional.
- Can you tell me about your skills and background?
Assistant Manager
The interview process was pretty standard. I was first reached out to by phone for an initial phone-screen. Then I had a secondary virtual interview that lasted about an hour. At the end of that, they said they wanted to move forward for a third, in-person interview with a higher-up. I was scheduled for the in-person interview within an hour of ending the virtual one. It was also about an hour long. They said I'd hear back within 3 business days. Both people I talked to were very responsive and available by phone and email if I had questions between interviews or before the decision.
- Can you talk about your past experience that's relevant to this role?
- What would your previous employer say about you?
- Why are you interested in this particular job and our company?
