Business Intelligence Developer
First, there was a phone screen with a really helpful recruiter. The next round was with the hiring manager and someone else who seemed really serious. I thought there would be some technical questions, but it was mostly like a vocabulary test, asking things like 'What is a data lake?', and only a few situational questions. I'm not sure how they can judge candidates this way, but I got a generic rejection email about a week later.
- Can you explain what data governance is? What about a data lake?
Clerk
I attended a hiring event, which was a new experience for me. I was surprisingly impressed by how smoothly everything ran. Given the large number of attendees, I honestly didn't think I'd have a shot at the job. The staff were so nice and kind, which really helped calm my nerves. Nobody seemed bothered, and I know I would have been if I were in their shoes with so few people managing the crowd. I'm really looking forward to starting and being part of this company!
- Can you share an instance from your past work where you provided excellent customer service?
Clerk
About a week after I sent in my application, I was invited for an in-person interview. The interview was led by the department manager and the Store Personnel Clerk. They asked some basic questions regarding safety procedures, my previous experience, my availability, and other questions relevant to the department. The interviewers were really nice and friendly.
- What is the number of hours you are looking to work?
Information Systems Support Technician
Found the job posting on Indeed. I was hesitant because the salary wasn't listed, which is usually a sign of a low-paying job. The process involved a phone screening with a recruiter, then a Zoom meeting with a panel, followed by a final interview with the IT director. After that, the recruiter called with a job offer, but I turned it down.
- Can you explain what DNS is?
- How would you prioritize helping multiple people requesting your services?
- What is an IP address?
