I applied online, and a recruiter called me in about 3 days to come in for a face to face interview. While waiting to be interviewed, I filled out a questionnaire on some information about myself, and previous skills. I was interviewed by the Store manager and the department manager. They took turns asking me what if questions, and how would I respond to certain situations. I was told I would receive a phone call in 2 days on whether I got the job.

Behavioral Group

They put me and 5 other candidates in a room together for a group interview. We went over general stuff like pay rate and benefits. Then, they took us back one at a time to interview individually. The manager who interviewed me asked a lot of situational questions, like "what would you do in this situation?". I don't think they were looking for overly smart people, more the drone type that just takes orders without asking questions, which is probably why they did not hire me.

I was greeted by a friendly employee who took me upstairs to the break room. About 5 minutes later, I was introduced to the Dept Manager. They gave me some pre-interview papers and asked about my availability. They also asked what I would do if I saw someone steal a pack of doughnuts. I also signed the job description. It was a panel interview with the Dept Manager, Lead Clerk, and Assistant Manager. I am waiting to hear back. Of course, I accept. The base pay is $10 an hour, I think it's $11 for overnights, about 30 hours a week.
