Behavioral Technical

This role involves a single interview round with the team's partners. You'll need to be ready for in-depth questions about your experience and how you handle cases. Remember to ask your own questions and be aware of any topics they seem hesitant to discuss directly. This firm has high standards, and they were pretty tight-lipped about details on hours and PTO during my interview.

Behavioral

First, there was a screening with in-house HR. Then, an in-person interview with two partners from the practice group. An older woman partner was condescending and hinted to a toxic work environment. When I asked how I can be successful in this role, I was told I must understand all partners' specific desires such as whether they like case names italicized or underlined. Did not feel like it is the type of environment where a young attorney can grow and learn in a supportive work environment.

Behavioral Other

It was a pleasant interview. Even though the position was supposed to be in-person, I was able to do it over zoom. It went well, standard questions, nothing too hard. It was nice overall. I asked about the firm and the culture, and listened to what my interviewer said about the work-life balance and company culture. It was a pretty standard interview.

Behavioral Other

I was contacted by a very persistent recruiter and went through two interviews, one virtual and one in person. The first one was pretty chill and straightforward. The second one happened less than a week after and didn't really involve many questions, mostly just chatting about benefits and meeting some other people from the team. After that, they said a decision would be made and I'd hear back within a week. But then, nothing. Complete silence, even after I followed up with both the recruiter and the interviewer after that week passed. It felt like a really disrespectful waste of time, especially since they kept asking if I was sure I'd accept if offered. Super unprofessional.
