Case Manager
Submitted application online. A few days later I received a phone call from a manager asking when it was convenient for me to interview. After a day or so of phone tag, we agreed upon a date and time. An email came later that said prior to the meet I would get an email with the phone number and further instructions. The email came 30 minutes prior to the meeting giving me a number to call and also wanted me to prepare a short presentation. The interview went fair. It felt like the decision was made prior to getting me on the phone. I was told I would hear back in two weeks. Six weeks later I got an email from HR telling me I did not get the job and told me that they would keep my resume on file and that I was welcome to look for other opportunities in the company.

Developer Advisor
The interview started with a phone screening focused on technical skills in SSIS, SSRS, and SQL. Then, there was a more in-depth interview with the hiring manager and the team I would be joining. Everyone on the team got to ask questions. After the technical screening, the group interview seemed to focus on team fit. They were upfront about expectations like improving process bottlenecks, but once I got the job, the emphasis shifted to productivity. They mentioned it wasn't a strict 40-hour job, and what started as occasional extra work became a norm of being available anytime, even on vacation, and regularly working much more than 40 hours.
- They asked about my design philosophy.
- I was asked about my approach to identifying and improving process bottlenecks.
- They inquired about my willingness to work beyond standard hours.
Manager
I applied online and then heard back from the hiring manager a few weeks later. The interview lasted over an hour, and I also spoke with another team member. It was a really nice interview process; they were more interested in getting to know me as a person and gave a lot of information about the position rather than grilling me on my skills (they could see those on my resume). It felt like a great, low-pressure experience. HR was in touch until the offer was made. The background check was quick, taking only 4 days, and the HR person was very professional and pleasant.
- Can you share specific examples from your past work that illustrate your experience?
- Please have your previous employment dates, graduation dates, and pay rate ready for the background check.
Administrative Assistant
I applied online, and after a week, the status showed 'Hiring Manager Review.' Two days later, I got a call for a phone screening because of the high volume of applicants. I had the screening a week after that with the hiring manager and someone who currently does the job. They said they'd let people know about moving forward that Friday. I got a call informing me I was selected for the in-house interview, scheduled for the following Monday. The interview that Monday was panel-style and focused on general behavioral questions. The panel was nice, and I felt comfortable. A week later, I was told I didn't get the position, but the manager was impressed and recommended me for a different administrative assistant role in another state. I declined due to not wanting to relocate, but appreciated the offer.
