So, the interview was like 8 years back, so it's probably different now. First, it was a phone call, then they had me fly out for an in-person interview. I met with a group of people, including my potential manager and three other managers in the same area. We had a good chat, and I felt like we connected well. They also checked my references, and then I got the job.

Submitted application online. A few days later I received a phone call from a manager asking when it was convenient for me to interview. After a day or so of phone tag, we agreed upon a date and time. An email came later that said prior to the meet I would get an email with the phone number and further instructions. The email came 30 minutes prior to the meeting giving me a number to call and also wanted me to prepare a short presentation. The interview went fair. It felt like the decision was made prior to getting me on the phone. I was told I would hear back in two weeks. Six weeks later I got an email from HR telling me I did not get the job and told me that they would keep my resume on file and that I was welcome to look for other opportunities in the company.

The recruiter was awesome, really good communication and knew the job inside out. Had phone interviews with the Director and other managers on her team, and they went great. Everyone was super knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The Director was really professional but also easy to talk to, and the interviews felt more like discussions. In the end, they picked someone else who had a bit more experience in their specific area than me. I would have loved to get the job, but the recruiter was really nice and emailed to say thanks for interviewing and hoped it went well and that I'd be open to future roles. I definitely will be. I'm rating the interview as 'difficult' because we had some really intense discussions, but honestly, it didn't feel hard because the people involved made it so easy.
