Professor
A strong cover letter can secure you an interview. The manager was friendly and the interview process was straightforward. Having your TEFL certification is a requirement. The manager will ask straightforward questions to confirm your commitment to teaching. Since you are already certified, your English grammar won't be assessed.
- What is your motivation for pursuing a teaching career?
- Are you interested in becoming a teacher?
- What makes you want to be a teacher?
Sales Consultant
- Could you describe the role you applied for?
- Why do you think you would be a good fit for this position?
Teacher
The interview at the language school was pretty organized and detailed. From the first email to the last talk, it all felt very professional. They were flexible with scheduling to fit my availability, and the instructions they gave were easy to understand and to the point. During the interview, the panel asked a bunch of different questions about my teaching background, how well I know the language, and my ideas on education. They also asked if I could manage different kinds of classrooms and adjust to various ways students learn. The questions were fitting and made me think, which helped me show off my skills and what I've done well.
- Tell me about a situation where you had to change your teaching approach to help a diverse group of students.
Language Assistant
I applied and soon after I got invited for a group interview. There were around 10 people interviewing with managers. Questions were normal. After a couple of days, I got invited to a second interview where the program manager asked me more details about my previous work experience. After the discussion, I was asked to go through an English test (easy) and an Excel test (easy). The Center Manager was a very cold and arrogant person. Despite going through all stages successfully, this person had an I don't care attitude towards me, as if from the beginning it was clear that the job wouldn't be offered to me.
- What do you know about WSE?
- What are your main qualities?
- Why are you interested in this job?
