Basic questions asked about threading and other processes. Newbies can join here and get industrial experience for 6 months. Not worth spending time more than that since within that period you would have known about the technologies and how business operates. Management knowledge.

  • Could you tell me about gears and their various types?
  • Can you discuss threading and other processes?

The interview process consisted of three rounds: a Group Discussion (GD), a Speed Math test with Technical Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), and a Personal Interview. All rounds were held virtually. The GD was on Google Meet and went smoothly. The second round tested calculation speed; questions were easy but had short time limits, requiring quick thinking, with about 30 seconds per question. Technical MCQs covered undergraduate engineering topics and weren't too difficult. The final round was a combined Technical and HR interview, focusing mainly on my self-introduction and resume, and also assessing knowledge of new technologies in the Automobile sector.

Applied online and a recruiter got back to me within a week. First was a quick phone screen with basic questions. Then, I went straight into a 1-on-1 with the group leader/manager, which was all technical questions about the systems his team tested. Since I've worked with brake systems before, this was pretty easy and I enjoyed it. The next step was a final interview with the hiring manager and HR, focusing on career goals and past experiences. I didn't really enjoy this one much, partly because neither interviewer introduced themselves or even shared their names, which felt a bit rude and showed a lack of interest. They mostly just asked me questions, and I didn't like the vibe from the manager or the interview overall. Even though I got an offer that would have been a fun position, I ended up declining it. I think having a good team and work environment is important before the fun parts of a job. If you like vehicle testing, remote leadership, and don't mind working solo with limited teamwork, this could be a good fit.

Confirmed questions8 questions
  • Explain ABS, TC, and ESC.
  • How would you sell/explain ABS to a customer who has no idea how it works?
  • Describe the function of hydraulic pressure-based braking and electric brake boosters.

Technical Behavioral

The interview process was conducted by CDAC, Bangalore during college placements. It began with an aptitude and C language online test. The following day, there was a combined Tech cum HR round. The technical part lasted about 35 minutes and included questions on polymorphism and behavioral aspects, focusing on situational reactions. This was followed by a very easy HR round, which was essentially a casual chat. However, they offered a 3-year bond in the Chennai region, which was not feasible for me as I am from North India, so I declined the offer. It was the easiest interview process I've ever experienced.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you explain what polymorphism is?
  • How would you handle certain hypothetical situations?
  • Tell me about yourself and your background.
