Wlan Software Engineer
The interview started with questions based on my resume, covering basic C concepts and then moving to topics like structure padding, macros, linked lists, and storage classes (specifically asking about 'static' and when to use 'auto'). They also asked about college projects. There was a strong emphasis on embedded C, ranging from fundamental concepts to data structures and algorithms.
- Can you elaborate on embedded C, from basics to data structures and algorithms?
- Tell me about your resume and experience.
- What are the fundamentals of C programming?
Engineer
The interview started with questions about programming languages for embedded systems and the difference between microcontrollers and microprocessors. Then, we discussed experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and how to optimize code for embedded systems. The questions covered my proficiency in C programming for embedded hardware.
- Tell me about your programming language skills and your preferred choice for embedded development.
- Could you differentiate between a microcontroller and a microprocessor?
- What's your background with real-time operating systems (RTOS), and which ones have you worked with?
Software Engineer
The interview process for the Vision Business Unit was pretty standard. It started with two technical rounds, and then wrapped up with an HR interview. Before the HR chat, they asked for documents for salary fitment. After that, it was a long wait, and I had to chase HR for about a month before getting any kind of decision. They'd give all sorts of weird, unrelated reasons for not moving forward with my application. The main hurdle seemed to be salary fitment; even though they're an MNC with tons of projects, their communication wasn't professional, which made it a bad experience.
- What is your experience with BSP development?
- Discuss your experience with Linux Device Drivers.
- Can you discuss your past experience and projects?
.NET WPF Developer
I was first contacted by HR through a recruiting agency. The interview process involved 2 technical rounds and 1 HR round. If the position was onsite, there would have been an additional client round. The first interview focused on .NET and WPF basics. The interviewer seemed disengaged, more focused on asserting superiority than conducting the interview. After I answered all their questions, they asked a couple of programming questions.
- Could you elaborate on OOPS concepts?
- Can you explain the SOLID Principles?
- Tell me about Design Patterns.
