After you apply, they'll usually call to set up a quick phone chat. If that goes well, you'll do a group interview with a few other people. They'll tell you more about the company and the job during that group chat. If you're still keen, they'll ask you to write a short letter explaining why you're a good fit. Then, they'll call to schedule your last interview with the hiring team. They might say you'll hear back in about a week, but I've heard back in just a couple of days.

Behavioral Group Presentation

This role is actually more of a Field Operations Manager than a Project Manager. The initial phone call was quite engaging and perhaps a bit misleading. When you arrive at the office, you're seated at a table with about 10 other candidates for a group introduction. They give you more info and talk up the company, then you're expected to leave and send an email explaining why you're a good fit.

It was a very informative process. The employees seemed happy, engaged, and nice. There was an initial phone call where they explained the main details of the role. Then, I had an in-person meeting that was more informational, which helped me understand the role better and the company's projections for success. They also gave office tours, which opened my mind to the development and growth opportunities available, as well as the healthy company culture.

Group Behavioral

The first round is a group interview where everyone introduces themselves. The interviewers then discuss the company and opportunities. The goal is to be overly positive and complimentary, as generic, scripted answers about the company's greatness were common. Avoid skepticism and be a "yes person." Ask basic questions and don't try to be humorous. Out of four participants in my group, two were not advanced, and one moved to the next round of one-on-one interviews. The next step for that person is a lunch meeting in about three weeks to review how things went. This group interview format was unique, and I think more companies should adopt it. Despite my 10+ years of experience, I've never encountered this. It can be loud, so position yourself to see the interviewer's face and maintain eye contact.
