I applied on Oct 24, 2025. About 3 weeks later, I had a recruiter call for a standard HR Q&A. After that, I progressed to an initial interview with the Data Science Manager, which I felt went very well. Unfortunately, after more than two months, I received a rejection email without any explanation.

This interview was very relaxed. It was a followup on a job fair with questions about me and my university program, as well as my skillsets. I unfortunately did not get the position, but it was good practice and helped me shore up my interviewing weaknesses and preparedness for the next one.

It was a phone screen and then an in-person interview. They didn't want to give me a salary range upfront even though it's required in DC before the first interview. I think I didn't get the job because I asked about the salary range during the in-person interview, and one of the interviewers got super awkward. It felt like they knew the law but just didn't want to follow it.

There were 3 interviews in total. The first one was a phone call with the recruiter, mainly to talk about salary and the job. Then, there was a second interview over Zoom with a panel of 3 people. This one involved behavioral questions and also questions about my resume and what a typical day would look like. I was supposed to have a third interview in person, but it didn't happen.
