Customer Service Agent
Applied online and got an email about a month later to set up a phone interview using an online scheduler. I got a call about a week before the scheduled time. After that, I was invited to an in-person interview a few days later at the airport. It was a group interview with 5 candidates and 3 managers interviewing us. It was super relaxed and they were great! They pretty much asked the same questions as the phone interview but gave us a chance to explain ourselves and show why we'd be the best. After the interview, we waited outside while they discussed. I was called back in alone about 5 minutes later and they offered me the job. Not everyone in the group got an offer, so they asked us not to tell anyone if we got it to avoid hurt feelings. All in all, it was a great experience!

Ramp Agent
Sometime in early March, I had a phone interview. About a week later, I got an email for a face-to-face interview. Around March 15th, there were about 50 people there for the interview. They started with an information session, and then we were called into a back room one by one for the interview. Around March 18th, I was called in for fingerprinting and a drug screening. I got a call around March 26th saying I passed the background check and am waiting to hear from a training lead about the next class, which might be in April or May.

Flight Attendant
The interview process with US Airways/American Airlines was designed to make candidates feel comfortable and at home, showing appreciation for their time. The interview was held on a Thursday, and I wore a black skirt suit with light makeup and my hair in a neat bun. It started at noon with an icebreaker activity involving about 20 other candidates. After a short break, we proceeded to a group interview that was professional yet relaxed in tone. This was followed by a presentation about the company and the responsibilities of a Flight Attendant. The day concluded with a staff member escorting us out and confirming our contact information. The entire process lasted approximately 4 hours. Although I wasn't selected, they mentioned they would email the results. It seemed that those who were hired would stay for a background check and fingerprinting. It was difficult to discern their specific selection criteria. Despite not being hired, it was a positive experience overall. No pre-interview preparation or 'homework' was required, though I did research the company beforehand. There were no physical tests like a reach test, no language test, and no questions were asked about visible tattoos.
- Can you describe the qualities that contribute to being an excellent flight attendant?
Flight Attendant
