First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Univision.
Programme Analyst
Went through a quick 3-round interview process. They were fast with each interview and the whole thing was smooth. Each interview was right after the previous one, not much waiting. It was all very direct and to the point.
- Can you tell me about your previous experience and how it aligns with this position?
Multimedia Journalist
Had 1 call interview, then 2 videocall interviews. After that, I had to complete a task to show what I can do. Then there was another videocall, and they told me they would let me know the decision in some time. But in the end, they sent an email saying they went with someone else.
- Can you discuss your background and experience?

I was first contacted by the recruiter, I didn't apply directly for the position. I was interested in what they told me and everything seemed to align with my experience and skills; the first stage went very well. However, when I had the next interview, in this case with who would be the Director of the area, everything was outside of what was previously discussed and described. It's as if recruitment and the interested area were not in agreement about the skills and experience sought. The gentleman was very despotic, aggressively interrupting answers because they weren't, perhaps, what he wanted to hear, in a hurry, without willingness to get to know the interviewee, in a bad mood (perhaps it was a bad day for the character). A very uncomfortable situation. Never forget that interviews are two-way processes; as a future employee, it's also the time to evaluate the people you're going to work with, the environment, their reactions, tone, attitudes, just as the recruiter does with the candidate. I knew that even if I continued in the process, I would not accept the job.

Account Coordinator
I got contacted by a recruiter on Linkedin, so I went ahead with it even though there were bad reviews. It started with a phone screening with the recruiter, then a phone interview with the manager, and then an in-person interview with the manager. It was pretty easy and felt like a conversation. I was asked to bring my portfolio and they also checked my Excel skills. I declined the job because the office vibe was off, kinda dead and not very lively.
- What are your 5-year career aspirations?
- How would your previous manager describe you?
