The interview process took a really long time, at least four months. Getting in touch with the recruiters was slow, and it took weeks after the last interview to get a job offer. When I said no to the offer because the salary wasn't enough, the recruiter didn't let me negotiate and just hung up. I've worked for UMMS before for years and don't remember the hiring taking this long. It was a disappointing experience compared to how it used to be.

The interview process was pretty straightforward. I spoke with the HR Team, a Director, and the VP of HR. It was a great team with a lot of different expertise. They asked some really good questions overall. The interactions felt positive.

The HR part of the hiring process has been incredibly frustrating, with four different recruiters handling my application at various stages. The background verification, outsourced to a company called HireRight, has been exceptionally poor, leading to accusations of lying about my work and education history due to their laziness in verifying provided information. I've had to chase down details they are paid to confirm for an entry-level $15/hour role. This entire hiring and onboarding process has been ongoing for nearly two months. Despite interviewing well with hiring managers and having accurate information on my resume, HireRight's process involves threats and accusations, making me doubt the offer. The experience has been so negative that I'm considering declining the offer.

I went to a hiring event that I signed up for a few weeks before. When I got there, they asked me what department I was interested in, even though I already put that on the signup. After I sat down, they had me follow a manager for an interview. When we got to the unit, I had to ask what it was, and it wasn't even close to what I wanted. After I interviewed for a department I didn't care about, I talked to the recruiter. She said the managers weren't told about the event.
