The interview was a 2 stage process - 1 initial skillset based interview with a manager and the second was a task presentation with the team lead + Director. While the task was quite comprehensive, the interview went really well. The outcome was quite unsatisfactory as I got quite a cold rejection from the HR team, saying we went with someone better suited for the role. There was no feedback or responses to my follow up emails. The very next day, the company reopened the exact same role on LinkedIn. Not sure why HR teams are not more transparent with feedback, especially after someone has gone through a week of prep to work on a task.

The interview process started with a recruiter screen, followed by a first round with the hiring manager, and then a second round which involved a task with the hiring manager and operations team. Conversations with the hiring manager were good and gave me a solid view of the Westfield business and the role's impact. The task was quite large and required me to develop a strategy for their upcoming priority event. My experience with the recruiter, however, was not great. While the initial screen was fine, they didn't share the salary budget, so I ended up doing work without knowing the role's value. After the second round, even after following up multiple times, the recruiter kept me waiting for almost a month before sending a rejection email. Some feedback was provided, but I really would have preferred a quicker update. I wish the team well and am glad I got to learn more about Westfield and their culture.

Après ça, j'ai eu un entretien Senior Analyst en face à face et un entretien Manager en face à face. Les deux derniers entretiens étaient un peu plus poussés avec des questions de fit et techniques.

The process has 3 parts: 1) A motivational HR interview 2) Online tests (English, linguistic logic, and math) 3) A recruitment day (I didn't get to this stage). After the interview and tests, I was rejected without a valid reason. When I pushed for a reason (having largely passed the tests), the HR reason given was 'I couldn't get a read on the personality'. So I'm penalized because HR couldn't fit me into a box after 1h of discussion. No concrete feedback on my background, presentation, or motivation. No. Just that she felt there was no 'fit'. We're used to better from HR in 2024 and this kind of experience is very disappointing from URW.
