I had an interview with HR and the hiring manager, all done virtually. It was a very easy process. Everyone was kind and easy to talk to. I never felt out of place or like the interviewer was bored.

The interviewer was super rude and condescending. She basically dismissed and insulted my work experience and was sarcastic and short during the phone interview. Glad I got an offer somewhere else because she made it seem like a really unpleasant place to work.

The process was pretty straightforward, but the communication after the interview was a bit clunky. It took ages to even get the onsite interview set up with the recruiter. Once that was done, things moved along. You'll have a gatekeeper/HR round, then an in-person interview with the department manager. After that, you'll meet with higher-up division leaders separately. Just a heads-up, there's more than one in-person interview, which isn't the most efficient and means more travel.

The interview process initially seemed promising. The hiring manager and VP discussed tailoring a role for me to bring HRO concepts into the organization. I then talked salary with the recruiter. After that, I reconnected with the hiring manager regarding the next steps and provided my availability for further discussions. However, I didn't hear back for about a month and a half. At that point, the recruiter emailed with an offer for a "Patient Safety Project Manager" position. The salary was $9K below my minimum requirement and wasn't the role I had discussed with the hiring manager and VP. I expressed continued interest but noted the salary needed to be closer to my minimum. I never received a response after that.

  • Can you share an example of how you implemented HRO in a prior organization?
