Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at UC Health.
Registered Nurse
I applied online, and after three weeks, a recruiter called me for a phone screen. During the call, they explained the interview process and the job details. Then, I had an in-person interview with the hiring manager and the educator. The hiring manager described the three units of the neurology floor, gave me a tour, and discussed the types of patients each unit serves.
- How significant is teamwork in your professional life?
- Can you share an instance where you made an error and the lessons you gained from it?
- What motivates your interest in employment at this hospital?
Registered Nurse
I had my first interview with the hiring manager and charge nurse. I didn't get called back for the second panel interview. Everyone was super nice and professional, and they communicated really well throughout the whole process, even after the interview.
- Tell me about your previous experience that makes you a good fit for this position.
Registered Nurse
It was easy to get to the manager, but the manager I interviewed with was not great. She told me "I wouldn't have hired you, if I had known you were pregnant." Every day I go in I get bullied by her and I'm looking for a new job else where.
- Why do you miss work?
