Product Marketing Manager
A recruiter reached out to me by email about my application for a product marketing manager role, mentioning my candidacy would be a great fit for a Senior Product Marketing Manager. After about a week of emails, we scheduled a video interview. The interview was standard, with good questions and conversation. The recruiter said he'd follow up in a week. However, the interviewer didn't turn on their camera during the whole Google Meets call, so I was talking to a blank screen. There was no response after the interview, and after I followed up, I was told they wouldn't proceed with my application.
- Tell me about a time you mentored colleagues or team members.

Customer Success Manager
The interview process was pretty standard. It started with a recruiter screening, followed by a second interview with two managers. The final round involved both managers and the department leader. It turned out the salary was lower than I was looking for, and I mentioned that upfront. Honestly, I should have ended it there. But the recruiter reached out again after an internal discussion. It's a shame because I saw reviews about them ghosting candidates, and this felt like a complete waste of my time. After going through their whole process and doing a presentation, they didn't even bother to give me an update. I followed up via email, but nothing. Save yourself the hassle; maybe they just use candidates for ideas, which is pretty bad.
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
- Can you describe your previous roles?
- We'd like you to do a presentation on a B2B company you choose.
Software Developer
A recruiter from Uberflip reached out, and after checking out the company and liking what I saw, I agreed to an initial phone call. It felt natural and positive, setting a good tone. We then moved to an in-person interview. Before that, I was given a small task: set up a testing environment using a git project, which had some intentional bugs. This setup took me about an hour. The main interview was a 2-hour session with several engineers. The first hour or so focused on my background and experience, followed by them asking some straightforward technical questions. The last 30-45 minutes involved using the environment I set up to fix the bugs in the application, demonstrating my problem-solving process. They had a standard list of questions for this part. It was a good experience, not overly demanding or intimidating. Afterward, I met with the lead engineer for technical discussions about systems and to discuss areas needing support in engineering. There was also a brief 5-minute chat with the chief marketing officer for a cultural fit check. (Not sure if these last meetings were same day or later that week). I got an offer later that week. The whole process from initial contact to offer was very fast, completed within a week. They kept me informed about any delays and were efficient with my time. It was one of my best interview experiences.

Marketing
A recruiter from Uberflip reached out to me. I went through three interviews: a phone screen and two in-person ones. The interviews were pretty standard, focusing on my background, how I'd fit in, role expectations, and team dynamics. After the last interview, I was told I'd hear back soon. I sent thank you notes and reiterated my interest. Unfortunately, I never got a response, which I found unusual since the recruiter asked for an update after the meeting, which I provided. A couple of weeks later, I emailed for an update. The recruiter apologized for the delay, confirmed the role was still open, and asked if I was still interested. I said yes and asked for an update after her meeting with the hiring team. I never heard back again. It's a shame, as even a brief 'not a fit' email would have been appreciated.
- Can you tell me about your responsibilities and experience in past jobs?
