I got referred by someone I know in the industry. I met with the hiring manager at Uberflip's office for an hour to talk about the job. I thought the interview went well and felt good about it, but I guess not. I followed up by email a couple weeks later and they said they were still hiring. A month went by and I still hadn't heard back, so I emailed again (even though I figured I wouldn't get invited to more interviews) and never got a response. Honestly, I think it's bad practice to just ghost candidates after you interview them. Nobody wants to give bad news, but it's rude not to reply. If someone took time and effort to interview with your company, at least take 30 seconds to let them know they didn't get the job. Getting feedback is even better, but just replying is the least you can do, and I don't think that's too much to ask. Unfortunately, this experience has given me a bad impression of Uberflip, even though I liked them at first.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process was pretty straightforward and not too difficult. I connected with the Marketing and executive teams over three days, and they extended an offer which I accepted after a bit of back-and-forth. The questions covered areas like Marketing tech, content marketing, ABM, and Marketing Automation/CRM. Since Uberflip is active in the content marketing, CMS, and Automation fields, it's beneficial to research what major B2B companies like Hubspot, Salesforce, and Marketo are doing. It's a good idea to read their blogs, catch up on B2B marketing trends, explore new marketing technologies, and solidify your understanding of marketing fundamentals like the 4 P's and analytics (check out Google Analytics). Also, look into the Uberflip tech stack using Datanyze.

A recruiter from Uberflip reached out to me. I went through three interviews: a phone screen and two in-person ones. The interviews were pretty standard, focusing on my background, how I'd fit in, role expectations, and team dynamics. After the last interview, I was told I'd hear back soon. I sent thank you notes and reiterated my interest. Unfortunately, I never got a response, which I found unusual since the recruiter asked for an update after the meeting, which I provided. A couple of weeks later, I emailed for an update. The recruiter apologized for the delay, confirmed the role was still open, and asked if I was still interested. I said yes and asked for an update after her meeting with the hiring team. I never heard back again. It's a shame, as even a brief 'not a fit' email would have been appreciated.
