First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TU/e.
Assistant Professor
It was a pretty standard interview process with an online interview followed by a campus visit. Communication was clear and everyone I met, both faculty and staff, were friendly. Just a heads-up, Eindhoven is a really busy city, so finding a place to live can be tough because of limited availability and high prices.
- Could you describe your research agenda and teaching interests?
PhD Candidate
- How do you plan to approach the PhD project, and how will your previous knowledge and experience contribute to it?
- What are your expectations regarding collaboration?
Teaching Assistant
I had two professors interview me one after the other. They really looked into my subject knowledge, how I communicate, and if I could handle teaching duties, especially with a lot of students.
- Tell me about your knowledge of the subject.
- What is your availability as a student TA?
- How would you handle a large number of students?
Machine Learning Engineer
The whole thing took about 5 weeks. First, they looked at my CV. Then, the team asked some questions about my experience. Lastly, there was a coding round where I had to answer 4 easy questions.
- Can you tell me about your past experience?
- What sparked your interest in this position?
- What are your thoughts on Python?
