It was a two-part interview process. The first interview was an online meeting with two professors. There was a three-month gap between the interviews. The second interview was in-person and included a campus tour and a full day of meeting with the research group members, as well as a lab tour.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

There were two interview rounds. The first was a brief meeting with a postdoc or professor to talk about background and motivations. The second round involved presenting a recent project, like my master's thesis. They mentioned asking about motivations in the first interview but ended up asking technical questions too, so it's a good idea to be ready for that.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Could you summarize a recent paper you've read on this topic?
  • What are your motivations for applying?
  • Can you elaborate on the technical aspects?
