So, this interview was actually for two different roles, one as a Technical Writer/Editor and the other for Reliability Engineering. We kicked things off with some basic introductions, and then they asked me about what I was studying at the time. Most of the questions revolved around how to get ready to write a report and what the very first step in that process is. After that, we got into discussing accessibility features – like what could be added and how to make TTC more accessible. Root Cause Analysis also came up as a topic they asked about.

So I started with a portfolio review and a writing test. Then I went to the office and they asked me some questions in a boardroom. It was pretty standard. The questions felt like they were put together by a committee, which made me feel like everyone was getting the same assessment. The people were really nice, but the whole thing took a long time, and there was about a month wait between each step.
