The interview process started with a phone call, then an in-person interview that included an Excel test, followed by a final round with executives and team members. I felt the interview went really well and was optimistic about hearing back. However, despite following up several times, I was ghosted and never heard back from Truveris. After three weeks, it's clear I didn't get the job, but I'm really disappointed with how this recruiting process went. I've been through many final round interviews before, and this is the first time a company hasn't communicated a final decision, which feels rude and disheartening, especially since I used vacation time from my current job to attend the interviews.

Software Developer
The interview process was pretty standard for a dev role. Since I got referred, I think I skipped the first recruiter call. It began with an onsite interview and a short coding challenge. The interview itself was mainly about getting to know me and seeing if I'm a decent person to work with. The coding challenge was self-paced. They provided the data description and gave me a few minutes to look it over, then asked for my time estimate. Afterwards, I was left alone with a laptop to finish. The task involved parsing a CSV file, and I could use any language or tools, with internet access allowed. Using Python was a plus since Truveris is a Python shop. I met with the CTO, lead dev, and a couple of other team members, and again, it was mostly a get-to-know-you session. If the onsite went well, I was given a second coding challenge. This involved logging into a provided server with a Postgres DB already set up. It was designed to check my command-line and SQL skills. I had to analyze the database and write a moderately complex SQL query, then replicate that query in Python (using SQLAlchemy was a bonus). This challenge was also self-paced. After that, the interview was pretty much done; it was either a yes or a no.

Manager
Recruiters seem to identify candidates with strong resumes, then the interview process focuses on evaluating cultural fit. All interviews were behavioral. The company is growing fast, so they moved me through the process quickly, which meant I had to make decisions fast! My experience included: HR Phone Screen > Hiring Manager Phone Screen > Four 30-min Behavioral Interviews with Executives > Final chat with Hiring Manager.

The recruiter was nice during the initial screening, but they seemed really unorganized. We arranged for an Excel assessment, but that was cancelled without any reason and rescheduled for an interview with a director instead. I kept getting double emails about both things, too. The interview with the director was terrible. He totally seemed like he didn't want to be there and was really rude and hostile. It felt like an interrogation, so it wasn't a shocker when I got the generic rejection email the next week.
