The HR rep was impolite on the phone. They cut me off when I started answering a question about my plans and jumped into explaining the company and role for a few minutes. Then they asked if my qualifications fit. After I answered, they quickly said I wasn't a good fit. The call ended abruptly without a goodbye. While I get my background might not be a perfect fit, being cut off and not allowed to finish felt disrespectful.

We had a phone interview first, then a second interview, and finally an on-site in-person interview. The on-site included some testing. Then we talked about the benefits. After that, I got a job offer. They went over the benefits package, including shift hours, vacation time, 401k, sick time, health benefits, retirement benefits, and life insurance.

I found out about a trainee tech support job and applied. Someone called me to set up an interview. On the interview day, I met with the Tech Support managers first. It went pretty good. They were clear about the company's goals, the role, and what they expect from a rep. Then I also talked to an assistant director on the same day. That part was a bit more in-depth, but not too different from the managers. That went well too. I got a call with an offer in less than a week. I accepted it. We had an orientation day, and then a 1-month training to get me ready for the call queue. It was a pretty smooth process.

I applied and the HR recruiter contacted me the next day, saying I seemed like a good fit. They told me the next step was an interview with the hiring manager and a team member, and that I'd need to be on camera. But when the interview happened, only I was on camera. They didn't introduce themselves and just asked me about the company and the job. After I answered, they told me the job wasn't what the description said and that it actually involves medical coding, which I have some experience in. It was a bad and unprofessional experience.
