First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Trelleborg.
Marketing Executive
The whole application thing was pretty easy and set up nicely. I just put my resume in online, and they got back to me fast. Then I had a chill interview where they asked me about my past marketing gigs and what I'm good at, and why I want this job.
- Can you discuss your prior marketing experience?
- Describe how you managed particular campaigns previously.
Process Engineer
I got referred to Trelleborg by an external company. There were two interviews. The first one probably narrowed it down to two people, and the second one ended with both me and another candidate getting hired. The questions were pretty standard and fair. They asked about my strengths and weaknesses, why I wanted to work there, and if I preferred working in a team or alone. The company was pretty quick to let me know about my application status through the external company. It was a pretty stress-free process, but because of the type of job I was going for, they couldn't really ask about my previous full-time job experience since I didn't have any due to my age back then. Still, it felt like a big deal at the time!
- What do you consider to be your biggest weakness?
- When it comes to work, do you like being part of a team or working solo?
- What makes you want to work for Trelleborg?
Business Manager
I was contacted by a recruiter about a job opening. I asked for the company name and a job description, and they provided the company name but no JD or position title. After I asked again for a JD, they said it was for Sr Business Manager. They then requested information from me and I reiterated my request for a JD. They stated they would provide it later and instead asked me to describe my field experience and my previous salary. I declined to answer further questions until I received a JD, as I wasn't sure if I was interested. The recruiter then insisted they needed my salary information to assess my executive value. I terminated the conversation at that point, as it felt suspicious.
- Can you describe your experience in this field?
- What have you earned in previous roles?
- What is your salary expectation?
Graduate Apprentice Trainee
The interview process was straightforward. It started with a written test covering technical and aptitude questions. Then, there was a technical round where they assessed my understanding of fundamental engineering subjects, my knowledge of CNC machines, engineering drawing basics, molding methods, heat treatment processes, plastics, and testing instruments. They also asked about my engineering project. The specific questions in the technical round might differ based on the department managers. Finally, there was an HR interview where they inquired about my interests and background.
- Could you explain the various types of heat treatment processes and detail their respective applications?
