Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Trelleborg.
Process Engineer
I got referred to Trelleborg by an external company. There were two interviews. The first one probably narrowed it down to two people, and the second one ended with both me and another candidate getting hired. The questions were pretty standard and fair. They asked about my strengths and weaknesses, why I wanted to work there, and if I preferred working in a team or alone. The company was pretty quick to let me know about my application status through the external company. It was a pretty stress-free process, but because of the type of job I was going for, they couldn't really ask about my previous full-time job experience since I didn't have any due to my age back then. Still, it felt like a big deal at the time!
- What do you consider to be your biggest weakness?
- When it comes to work, do you like being part of a team or working solo?
- What makes you want to work for Trelleborg?
Manufacturing Engineer
The interview process was pretty standard, with the usual questions you'd expect. Don't anticipate the engineering director to ask anything too difficult, it was more about discussing past situations and fundamental engineering principles.
- What are some examples of situations you have faced?
- Can you explain your basic engineering philosophy?
Manufacturing Engineer
HR called me after I applied online. I did two interview rounds and then they ghosted me. It seems like they operate their plants with a minimal engineering staff. Given how many plants Trelleborg has in Houston, this role should have been two jobs. If they are this unprofessional in hiring, I'm glad I didn't get an offer.
