It was a pleasant experience and I think it would improve me professionally. They need to advance their processes and respond after the interviews. Very polite and friendly people. I did 4 interviews, with special emphasis on teamwork.

The interview started with a recruiter visiting my CDL school at Fort Moore, GA. After I graduated and got my commercial Driver's License, I applied on the website. I got a call and an email within 48 hours and talked to them about what I wanted. I'm retiring from the military in less than 30 days and we set my training start date in Columbia, SC for the first week of November. So far, it's been smooth, and they've been clear about their training and what to expect. If you already have your CDL, DOT physical, prior military experience, and a clean driving record, the process is pretty simple.

It started with a quick phone chat which went well, so they scheduled an in person interview. The next interview was with the team leader, about 45 minutes long, followed by about 20 minutes of shadowing the actual job. This also went well and led to a 3rd round interview. This time there was about another 45 minutes to an hour of shadowing and a 30 minute interview with the VP of logistics Steve Feldmann. Everything went fine and he said they would let me know within a week. After 10 days passed with no word, I called back and left a message asking for an update. No one called back or emailed. It felt unprofessional, especially given his seniority.

The orientation process is really tough, and they'll dismiss you for many reasons. Even if you excel in most areas but falter in one, it could lead to your dismissal. I struggled with maneuvers but did well driving and in the classes, yet I was sent home the day before orientation concluded. They don't seem to consider the sacrifices made to travel across the country for them.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The interview is basically the orientation, where you'll travel to a facility and be with a group for two weeks.
