Asset Management Analyst
I applied for an Asset Management Analyst role in Boston earlier this year. I researched the company and tried to find the right recruiters. I kept calling reception to ask about the process, but they always said HR would contact me. I watched my application on Workday, and it changed to 'Position Filled.' I never heard back, which was disappointing given my effort. I can't recommend Tishman Speyer.

IT Analyst
The interview process involved a technical interview where I was asked some IT principles questions, which were quite direct. Following that, I was contacted about a week later to start, though scheduling the interview itself took about two weeks.
- Can you explain the workings of TCP and UDP?
Senior Associate
So Tishman Speyer, they hire MBAs for their leadership program, and the interview process has three rounds. First, there's like a general screen with HR and someone who's mid-level there. It's mostly about getting to know you, why you're interested in real estate, and why you want to work at TS. Then, the second part is a modeling test; you get four hours to do it and write a memo. Lastly, you'll have interviews with senior managers, where half are fit interviews and the other half are technical.
- Where would you invest $100 million?
Analyst
I heard back pretty quick after applying and got my first HR chat scheduled. Then I had two 30-min talks with a Senior Associate and an Associate from the Acquisitions and Development team. After that, I moved onto round three, which had this modeling test I thought was tough, followed by a 30-min review of the model with the Senior Associate. I never heard back after the modeling part.
- Tell me about your background and experience.
- What motivates you to work at Tishman Speyer?
- Can you discuss some technical concepts like IRR and value metrics?
