Software Engineer
Applied online and got a quick response from the recruiter. The initial call covered compensation, the role, and the company. The first tech screen was scheduled, but the overall interview process felt very unorganized. Many interviewers seemed unprepared and disengaged. I advanced to the final virtual onsite rounds, which included four interviews: one for system design, one technical coding interview, one PM interview, and one leadership interview. However, my final tech screen was canceled on the day of the interview. It took about four business days and several follow-up emails with no reply to get it rescheduled. When I finally had the interview, I was forced to use a programming language I'm weakest in, despite my objections. The whole experience felt disrespectful and like a waste of my time.

Data Engineer
The interview process had a few parts: first a recruiter phone call, then a take-home coding test for SQL and Python (easy stuff, like an hour each). After that, there was a hiring manager chat and a virtual onsite with 6 sessions. They mentioned the onsite might be shortened to 3 sessions by putting multiple interviewers in one session to avoid asking the same things over and over. It took about 7 hours total. I liked talking to the team and the recruiter was good with updates, but the process felt a bit long and repetitive. Making it shorter would be better.
- Regarding optimizing a large-scale data pipeline, what approach would you take?
Brand Marketing Director
This role has been posted multiple times with a lower salary, which is a red flag. The interview process involved many stages (6+ interviews) and a final presentation, but ultimately candidates were told the role was being changed and they were starting over. The company seemed to take free work from candidates regarding their brands and then relisted the job. Several issues were apparent: inconsistency in what they're looking for in the role, leaders who don't grasp brand marketing or aren't receptive to expert advice, concerns about brand budgets and a preference for ROI-driven tactics, and a micro-management style that limits testing and learning. The 'integrated marketing' title is misleading as it appears to focus solely on organic social media for brand growth.
- Can you explain the value proposition of brand marketing?
Administrative Assistant
I applied online, and they quickly emailed me back to set up an interview. The interview was scheduled for 45 minutes but only took about 15. It was pretty straightforward and pleasant, not tough at all. I thought I had it in the bag. My interviewer said he'd let me know about the next steps and schedule me with some managers the following week. But that never happened. They ignored my follow-up email, went quiet for a few weeks, and then sent a generic rejection. It felt like the interview process was dragged out way longer than it needed to be and was a letdown, just like others have said.
