It was a 3 round interview process. Frankly, I can't recommend this company. They weren't transparent and didn't seem to respect candidates' time or effort. Job seekers should be treated better and communicated with more effectively throughout hiring, and this company fell short.

Behavioral Case

Had a great experience with my recruiter, Josh. He was super attentive and kept me informed the whole way. Then I had a phone interview with HR, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. After that, I was given a case study to complete. Finally, I interviewed with different members of the team.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

I applied for a Manager position and the process started with a recruiter call and then a hiring manager video interview, both seemed good. Then things got weird with a take-home case study that was actually a 4-part assignment asking me to do strategic, technical, and operational work on one of their properties on my own time. This felt like free consulting work and it was given to me on a Friday with a 48-hour deadline, meaning I had to use my weekend. The recruiter initially said it would take about an hour, then the email said two, but the PDF said three hours - in reality, it took way longer, like six hours. I did the work and presented it, and they liked it. They said I was moving to the next step, another stakeholder interview, but then a couple of days later they told me someone else accepted an offer and the job was filled. Turns out, while I was doing all that work, another candidate was already further along and had an offer! It felt like they took advantage of me, stringing me along with free work and tight deadlines while already planning to hire someone else. Be careful about the time commitment at Thirty Madison, they might exploit you for free work.
